Kanazawa Private Tours with a Local Guide

Discover Kanazawa.
Explore Its Stories.

Private Kanazawa tours with a local who lives in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan.

LocaRise Plus is a local companion service: you travel Ishikawa with someone who calls it home. One group a day, a walk shaped around you, and the stories behind the places that no guidebook can tell.

More than the sights

We will take you to Kenrokuen and the tea-house districts, of course. But the Kanazawa we want to share is also the fishing harbor at first light, the market where we buy our own sweet shrimp, the neighborhood shrine strung with lanterns on a summer evening, and the people behind all of it.

Get to know a place through its people, and you feel Japan in a way a guidebook can never give you. That is the whole idea.

Why Walk with LocaRise Plus?

An AI translation device helps you hear your guide’s explanations in your own language. Send us a DM to check language availability.

A local team, not a script

No flag to follow, no memorized speech. Just a relaxed walk and easy conversation with people who shop at Omicho Market, know which lane in Higashi Chaya is quiet at nine in the morning, and can tell you what the old shop signs actually say.

Your day, your pace

Every tour is private. Gardens and samurai history, gold leaf and sake, a harbor at dawn, a festival if one is on: tell us what you love and we build the route around it, then adjust it as we go.

Your language, not just English

Our team includes people who bridge languages between travelers and locals, and for everything else we carry a real-time AI translation device, so the conversation goes both ways. English, [Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Korean] and more. Message us to check yours.

Ways to Spend a Day

Every day is composed around you. These are the starting points our guests ask for most; combine them, stretch them, or ask us for something entirely your own.

Crabs at Omicho Market

Chirihama in Ishikawa

Chirihama & the Noto Coast

Local Life & Seasonal Walks

Harbor mornings, neighborhood shrines, a festival evening, a craft studio the guidebooks skip. These depend on the season and on what is happening that week, so ask us about your dates and we will tell you what is on.

Beyond the Postcard

Come to know a place through its people, and Japan opens in a way no guidebook can manage.

Kenrokuen at first light. The lantern-lit lanes of Higashi Chaya. We will take you there, and gladly. But the Kanazawa we love most lives a little further in: a harbor where the boats come home before breakfast, a market stall whose sweet shrimp we have bought for years, a neighborhood shrine glowing with paper lanterns on a summer night.

How a Day Comes Together

Our Guides Image

We are a small team rooted in Ishikawa: people who know the region as only residents can, and people who move easily between languages and cultures.

Local × Rise

The name carries the idea. Local is the region and the people who give it life. Rise is what happens when we bring them together with the people who visit: new encounters, new value, and a little more future for the places we love. That is what LocaRise Plus was created to do.
